Our Story
On a 2016 December morning, two long time friends met for breakfast at a restaurant in a South Indian city. One, a pastor from Georgia and the other an Indian pastoral educator who lives in Florida. They reflected over their thirty years of ministry travels to the many cities and villages in India conducting training, preaching, and facilitating medical camps. At the end of the breakfast and conversation they decided to from a group of individuals who would partner with them to continue ministry education and community development in India and near by countries. A few months later, India Vision Initiative Inc. was born.
India Vision Initiative Inc. (IVI) aims to educate, equip, and empower emerging leaders in India and nearby countries who will empower transformation of communities. We do this guided by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
India Vision Initiative (IVI) is a 501 (C) (3) tax-exempt non-profit incorporated in the State of North Carolina. IVI is the culmination of 30 years of visioning that arose from helping individuals and communities experience transformation through Jesus Christ. Moved by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, IVI is led by a diverse board of directors invested in the education and transformation of individuals and communities in India and nearby countries.
IVI activities include sharing information to mobilize resources to support ministry training, providing safe and credible education to children at risk, and developing communities by providing resources. We fund causes that support our mission from financial gifts received from individuals, churches, and organizations in the United States. All activities of IVI are conducted by volunteers.
